Our dedicated commercial sales team currently is promoting Silenor® the first and only nonscheduled prescription medication approved for the treatment of sleep maintenance insomnia. This team is comprised of experienced representatives that are located throughout the United States and whose target customers include high-prescribers of insomnia therapies, including psychiatrists, neurologists, sleep specialists and high-prescribing primary care physicians.

In June 2011, we entered into an exclusive collaboration agreement with Paladin Labs Inc., for the commercialization of Silenor in Canada, South America and Africa. In February 2012, Paladin filed a New Drug Submission with Health Canada for Silenor for the treatment of and symptomatic relief of insomnia with Health Canada. Somaxon also entered into an exclusive collaboration agreement with CJ CheilJedang in April 2012 to commercialize Silenor for the treatment of insomnia in South Korea. Along with the United States, Somaxon maintains the rights to Silenor in Europe and Japan.

Whether through a co-promotion, in-licensing, acquisition, or other strategic arrangement, Somaxon is interested in evaluating differentiated products and late-stage product candidates that can complement the current detailing efforts of our commercial sales team.
